| these are the questions I get asked most
about the BTCC. Rather than have me type the answers over and over again,
I've decided to put them on here this time. Most of these are answered in fact by me being totally unconnected with the BTCC in any official capacity and just a guy who goes to the odd race and takes some pictures and puts them on the web.
Here we go or back to the main site.
I've never ordered one of these, but Duke Video are spoken of very highly, they have a web site and actually market the proper official tapes, so that is good enough for me. You can go straight to the 2004 BTCC is here. I'm afraid I can't convert VHS tapes or DVDs for foreign TV systems and so on, but a lot of them are available in PAL or NTSC. They do also have historic BTCC videos too, going back about 10 years, these are here. Or if you prefer you can buy these videos from Amazon UK, Amazon have a good selection see below:

There are as many routes to the BTCC as there are drivers in it. You'll need to get a racing drivers' license. There are
various ways to do this. Usually you need to go to a racing drivers' school and take some courses. You'll then need to
get some racing experience at a club level (amateur racing) or in one of the formulae designed to develop young drivers
like Formula Ford or Formula BMW. Another route is via so-called feeder
championships like the SEAT Cupra Cup or the Renault Clios. Once you get to that level there is no more help I can give you for sure :O)
I'm afraid I haven't got any to give away. These are given out at the circuits on stands and on the pit-lane walkabout
by most of the manufacturer teams, if you can get to a race. If not, I've linked in all the team sites I can find / remember,
try writing to them and asking.
Also try the manufacturers, if you're not in the UK your countries Seat dealers might be able to get you one of
their posters for example.
It's been very flattering to be asked, but I can't print myself and this would be a huge amount of work for me
I think once I started doing it. So no I'm afraid, occassionally I can send an online version of an old photo
out, don't be afraid to ask (though asking nicely works better I must say).
I don't know to be honest, though I can drive, I haven't got a car myself (no-one believes that, but it's still true).
Demon Tweeks
and all the normal places you'd get souped up bits are the best bet. I know in the past some of the manufacturers
themselves, eg Ford and Vauxhall have produced BTCC like add-on bits for their cars. It might be worth checking your
local dealer.
If you have a comment or question not answered here please please let me know. and I'll usually reply if you put a valid E-mail address in. |
